Learning outcomes

This set of books gives a good comprehension of information retrieval systems' basic components and operations. After passing this exam the students are familiar with the essential terminology of information retrieval and they have competence to read information retrieval research literature.


The typical architecture of information storage and retrieval systems; indexing procedures and text processing for indexing; matching and ranking; queries and user interfaces; clustering and classification; social search.
