General description

For students of Journalism and Mass Communication

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course the students:

- can communicate on academic and professional issues
- can analyse the language of the print media
- can write articles in various genres for publication
- can analyse and critique colleagues’ texts
- can integrate knowledge of specific professional vocabulary
- can interact with individuals of various cultural backgrounds on media issues


This course is designed to develop students’ communicative skills in various academic and professional situations.

Modes of study

Participants are required to attend all classes and actively participate in the activities. If absent for a class be prepared to give a 5 minute presentation at the beginning of the next class.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Students are expected to show an improvement in their ability to express themselves and will be evaluated both continuously and in a final test.

Second or third year of studies.
